As a Realtor in Metro Vancouver when helping home buyers select a home a large portion of what I do relates to helping my clients find a specific property and get it for the best price. A key secondary portion of that process is helping my clients find a great neighbourhood, the home of their new home. As with much of my services I rely on personal experience and great online services.

This is the first in a series of blogs where I will highlight some of the sites I use to help my clients understand the neighbourhood they may be buying in.

The first is a topic that is less important than schools, crime, healthcare, parks and recreation etc but one that most who know me is near and dear to my heart. Food...better yet food prepared by other people...restaurants.

Despite what I say in the video the site is TastingVancouver.CA not .COM ....sorry about that!

A new online service growing by the day is TastingVancouver.ca. Users can search for a restaurant and if it is not there add it and await a review or two to pop up, or better yet add their own review right then and there.

I recently added Honjin Sushi in Yaletown and will be adding more as time goes on. I am going to aim to add a restaurant and a review a week. This will give me a great excuse to get out and try new places or at least refresh my memory of some of the great places I haven't been to in a while.

Take a second to check the site out and better yet add to TastingVancouver.ca, if adding reviews is not your cup of tea at least bookmark the site and use it to find new places to get out and enjoy a great meal.
