A Vancouver Home For Sale on HGTV?

I have a great Vancouver home for sale in Gastown. It's a heritage building built in 1915 & converted to 6 residences in '95. This loft is 2700 sq feet & really is an awesome place.

I received an email from a home staging company who produces a show in conjunction with Home & Garden Television called 'The Stagers' who want to use the loft on for an episode of their show.

Seemed like a great opportunity. I started to ask some questions & have drawn the conclusion that it may not be as good as it sounds.

I assumed that on these shows the services provided were paid for. I was wrong, my client will have to pay for the staging less $1000 paid by HGTV. This is nothing against the staging company who is a well known national staging company, but HUH? You want to use our place for your show and we are going to pay you essentially full pull?

Now I am a believer in home staging and think this property could benefit from it. I have shared my opinions on home staging with my client.

A decision has not been made yet. It will be a great experience if it happens, as long as my client benefits. My client's interests come first.
