Not Just Realtors Using Web 2.0 to Talk About Real Estate
Consumers Can Spread The Word On
Vancouver Real Estate Too!
In Vancouver, Realtors are known for their blogs and Twitter use to share their opinions and knowledge on Vancouver Real Estate.
Yet in fact the consumer has the equal opportunity to do so and here are two great examples of how the consumer can be just as powerful at spreading messages which impact Vancouver Real Estate.
Any consumer can start a blog, fill it with content, optimize it to show up in Google and broadcast their message about Real Estate.
Vancouver has many great examples including one of the more popular which has decided to end adding content, CondoHype.
The second example is a Craigslist Ad which appeared this weekend where a former resident of a building is alleging that the building made their partner ill. The building name is mentioned which means it is likely that the ad will turn up in Google results if one is to search the name of the building. This could have a huge impact on future sales in this building.
To be clear I have no information or expertise on the subject or the building, I am simply repeating what was in the ad and not validating the alleged claim.
Both are great examples of how the consumer now has the ability to impact the flow of information relating to Vancouver Real Estate.
I have no problem with it, in fact I think it will be a good thing and cause the Real Estate industry to take a hard look at how it does business and shares information.
